What to Expect at Your First Chiropractic Visit

At Axiom Chiropractic, we believe your first visit should be informative, empowering, and—most of all—comfortable. Whether it’s your first time seeing a chiropractor or you’re returning to care, our process is designed to help you feel heard, understood, and confident in your plan forward.

📨 Step 1: Digital Intake, Delivered to Your Inbox

Before you arrive, you’ll receive digital intake forms directly to your email. These are quick and easy to complete on your phone or computer and help us understand your current concerns, previous injuries, and health history—so we can provide care that’s 100% tailored to you.

🧠 Step 2: Thorough History & 5-Part Assessment

Your first in-office visit begins with a one-on-one conversation to review your health history and dive into both your chief concern (what’s bothering you now) and past injuries (what’s bothered you in the past).

We then conduct a 5-part objective assessment to evaluate how your body is functioning:

1.     Digital Posture Analysis – We assess your body’s alignment to identify structural compensations that may be contributing to pain or dysfunction.

2.     Bilateral Scale Weight Assessment – We measure how your weight is distributed between your left and right sides—an imbalance here often reveals hidden biomechanical issues.

3.     Range of Motion Testing – We test movement in your cervical spine (neck) and lumbar spine (low back) to determine whether your body is moving the way it’s supposed to.

4.     Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Scan – This advanced scan evaluates how much stress your nervous system is under, offering a window into how your body adapts to daily demands.

5.     Chiropractic Table Evaluation & Gentle Corrections – Finally, we examine your spine on the adjusting table and, if appropriate, perform light corrections using modern chiropractic techniques.

✨ Step 3: Personalized Care That Prioritizes Comfort

We pride ourselves on creating a relaxing, stress-free environment where your comfort comes first. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel welcomed and supported.

Our care ranges from gentle pinky-finger pressure for a 4-month-old baby, to more traditional manual adjustments—always using the least amount of force needed to make lasting change. Treatment starts light and can be dialed up as needed, depending on your comfort and goals.
